Chair and room rental agreement

1. Who this agreement is between

This agreement is between [salon owner's name] ("the salon owner"), who runs [salon name] at [salon address], and [renter's name] ("the renter").

2. The space

The salon owner rents the renter a chair at [salon name] to do their beauty services.

This includes water, electricity and Wi-Fi. The renter brings their own tools and anything else they need.

The renter may use the space Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm.

3. Payment

The renter pays [rent amount] per month, due on the 1st of each month, by M-Pesa.

4. How long it lasts

This agreement starts on [start date] and continues month to month until either side ends it.

5. Clients and bookings

The renter's clients belong to the renter. The renter sets their own prices, takes their own bookings and keeps their own client list, including names and phone numbers.

The salon owner will not use the renter's client list or contact the renter's clients to move them to someone else, during this agreement or after it ends.

6. Two separate businesses

The renter runs their own business and is not the salon owner's employee. They choose their own clients, services and prices, and take care of their own taxes and any licences their work needs.

7. Ending the agreement

Either side can end this agreement by giving 30 days' notice in writing. A WhatsApp or text message counts.

On the last day, the renter takes their belongings and returns any keys.

8. The law that applies

This agreement follows the laws of Kenya.
