Best beauty appointment software in Dubai for 2026
Beauty appointment software for solo pros in Dubai: WhatsApp reminders, home-service travel fees, deposits, and what different booking tools really cost.

Dubai is not a 20-branch spa chain. If you are a solo stylist, a mobile beauty pro, or running your own suite, a lot of the booking software you'll find here wasn't designed with you in mind.
- Communication: Your clients (many of them expats) live on WhatsApp. If your reminders land in an inbox nobody checks, you get no-shows.
- Sizing: Some of the best-known tools are enterprise platforms built for multi-location spa groups. Great feature lists, wrong customer.
- Commission: Some apps look free at first, then charge a cut on new clients who book through their marketplace.
Here is a practical look at what to check, what the different pricing models can cost, and how to set things up for home service.
What an independent beauty pro in Dubai needs
Home-service nail techs in JLT, lash artists in a Business Bay suite, and mobile massage therapists covering the Marina all need roughly the same things:
- WhatsApp reminders, because that is how your clients already message you.
- Travel rules for home service. Where you will go, what you charge to get there, and enough time between bookings to cross the city in traffic.
- Deposits so a cancelled home visit doesn't cost you an hour on Sheikh Zayed Road for nothing.
- A booking page that works for a mixed audience. Clients from dozens of countries, all booking on their phones.
- Pricing sized for one person, not per-branch enterprise contracts.
Miali: built for independents
Best for: independent stylists, mobile beauty pros, home-service therapists, and small teams.
- WhatsApp reminders: automatic reminders go where clients actually look, with email reminders as well.
- Sized for one person: a booking page, calendar, client profiles, and reports, without enterprise extras you'll never open.
- Home visits built in: add a travel fee per service and list the areas you cover.
- Free plan to start: no card needed, and you upgrade only when you're busy enough to need it.
Marketplace booking platforms
Best for: larger salons and spas chasing marketplace demand.
What to check: some popular platforms keep the subscription low and make money from a commission on new clients who book through their marketplace, plus payment processing fees and sometimes per-team-member charges. If most of your clients come from your own Instagram and referrals, you may be paying for discovery you don't use. Check the current pricing for the UAE before you sign up.
Enterprise spa and salon systems
Best for: multi-location spa and wellness chains.
What to check: these are often strong products, but they are built and priced for chains with many locations and large teams. Pricing is usually quoted per business, and a solo pro can end up paying for scale and features they will never use.
What it actually costs: a worked example
Say you are a home-service lash artist doing 45 appointments a month at an average of AED 350. Eight of them are new clients.
On a marketplace that takes, for example, 20% of a new client's booking:
- 8 new clients × AED 350 × 20% = AED 560 a month in commission.
- That is before any subscription or card processing fees.
On Miali Pro:
- $8 a month, roughly AED 29.
- No commission on any booking, no matter where the client found you.
For home service, no-shows cost more than the appointment itself. You lose the slot and the drive. If 4 of those 45 bookings fall through at the door, that is AED 1,400 a month plus the fuel and Salik. Run your own numbers with the no-show cost calculator.
Setting up home service properly
Many booking tools treat every appointment as "client walks into the salon." Home service is different, so set it up that way from the start:
- Travel fee: add it to your home-service services in Miali. Clients see it on the service and it's added to their total when they choose a home visit, so nobody negotiates it in DMs.
- Service area: add the areas you cover (for example Marina, JLT, and Business Bay). Clients see them on your booking page before they book.
- Build travel into the duration: add 15 to 30 minutes to each home-service duration for packing up and driving. Dubai traffic at 5pm is not the same as at 10am, and a padded duration stops back-to-back bookings you can't physically make.
- Clear service durations: a classic set and a volume set are not the same length. Your calendar should know that.
How deposits work on Miali in the UAE
Miali doesn't process payments, so there is no processor to sign up for and no platform fee:
- Turn on deposits and choose a fixed amount or a percentage of the service price.
- Add your payment details: a PayPal.me link, or custom instructions such as your bank transfer details or a payment link from the provider you already use.
- Clients see the deposit and your details when they book, and they pay you directly.
- They enter the payment reference in the booking form. The booking stays pending until you confirm it.
A 20% deposit on an AED 350 service is AED 70. Enough to make a booking feel real.
Reminders
Miali sends a WhatsApp reminder 24 hours before every appointment by default. You can set it anywhere from 1 to 72 hours ahead, and a second reminder goes out 2 hours before. For early morning home visits, a longer lead time gives the client a chance to reschedule the evening before instead of not answering the door.
The free plan includes reminders for 10 appointments a month. Pro covers 100 appointments, and Business covers 350 for teams of up to 5 bookable team members. Each appointment counts once, even though it gets two reminders. See pricing.
How to switch
- Add your services, durations, and prices.
- Set your hours and add a travel fee to your home-service services.
- Turn on deposits and reminders.
- Share your link in your Instagram bio, WhatsApp Business profile, and Google Business Profile.
- Reply to DMs with the link until your regulars get used to booking themselves.
FAQ
Can I use Miali with a home-service permit or freelance licence? Miali is booking software, not a licence or a marketplace, so it works alongside however your business is set up. Check your own licensing requirements separately.
Is it free? The free plan includes 10 online bookings and reminders for 10 appointments a month, no card needed. Pro is $8 a month for unlimited bookings.
Do clients need an app? No. Your booking page opens in any browser, and clients don't need an account.
Can I run a small team? Yes. The Business plan supports up to 5 bookable team members, each with their own working hours. Clients can pick a person or choose "Anyone available".
The bottom line
Dubai has plenty of independent beauty businesses, from home-service permits to freelance licences. A lot of the software on offer is built for either the marketplace commission model or the multi-branch spa chain. If you're independent, look for WhatsApp reminders, proper home-service settings, simple pricing, and no commission on clients you found yourself, and run the numbers on your own bookings before you choose.
